  • Julie Maloney
    Julie Maloney’s book of poems, “Private Landscape,” includes many pieces marking her journey through breast cancer. It is available through www.amazon.com and www.mangopress.net. For each book sold now until December 31st, $1 will be donated to the Yoga Program at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. This program dedicates itself to healing the spirit as well as the body. When ordered through MANGO, Julie will sign each book with a personal note. This book is about love and loving… it is for everyone who listens to her heart.
      
    WOMEN READING ALOUD (WRA), founded by Julie Maloney, will celebrate its 12th event on October 4, 2008 in Randolph, NJ. WRA dedicates itself to women writers of all levels and encourages them along their creative journey. A Writer’s Weekend Retreat will be held in Sea Girt, NJ on April 24-26, 2009. Visit www.womenreadingaloud.org for full details and registration form. Enjoy a magical weekend by the ocean. WRA is a non-profit organization.
     
  • Kathy Miller
    Sept. 2008 - Kathy Miller of Wellness Possibilities of NJ was chosen to present her “Permission to Thrive” as a topic for the Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce's program 'Women In Business Breakfast.'
     
  • Ann Pompelio
    Ann Pompelio, Attorney At Law, will be honored at the annual Law Day celebration on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Sussex County Courthouse. Ann is being honored for her volunteer work with Project Self-Sufficiency over the past 11 years. Previously, in December, Project Self-Sufficiency gave Ann a Mosaic Award and recognized her as Volunteer Attorney of the Year. Ann practices family law in Sparta.
     
  • Dawn DeGraw
    Dawn DeGraw of Garden of Life Massage and Yoga Center was recently recognized as the 2008 Entrepreneurial Success Award Winner from Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. Dawn's business is located on Route 23 in the Wantage Plaza.
     
  • Shannon Lobue
    Our chapter is pleased to announce that Shannon LoBue, VP/CFO of Brittashan Enterprises, has been included on NJAWBO's list of 30 outstanding businesswomen.  The NJAWBO 30 list was created to celebrate NJAWBO's most successful women and as part of our year-long 30th Anniversary celebration.  Honorees were nominated by members and chosen by a panel based on their achievements and recommendations.  The NJAWBO 30 were recognized along with other outstanding women leaders during NJAWBO's "Salute to Women Leaders" event on Monday, March 24, 2008.  Shannon was previously honored in 2004 as Sussex-Warren's Businesswoman of the Year and is a past chapter president.  She serves NJAWBO as the Northern Region President and is the 2008-2009 candidate for State VP of Finance.
