Representative
Sherry is currently the New Jersey Institute of Technology Procurement and Technical Assistance Center's representative in South Jersey. She
assists small businesses in bidding with the Federal, State and local governments and with large prime contractors. She conducts workshops
and works with the local economic development agencies in an attempt to increase opportunities for small businesses in the South Jersey area.
Sherry formerly was employed by the U.S. Small Business Administration for 36+ years, serving as the Area 2 Size Program Manager. In that
capacity she investigated firms to determine if they were eligible for small business preference programs, wrote briefs, and presented cases
before the SBA Office of Hearings and Appeals. She served as the field representative for SBA's Size Policy Board, establishing size standards
and procedures for formal size determinations on a National basis; worked with the Office of General Counsel in writing new regulations;
served as the Acting Area Director for SBA covering the Mid-Atlantic states; conducted training workshops concerning Government Contract
Law, Size Standards and Procedures; preference programs such as the 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZone, Veteran-owned and Service
Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business, Prime and Subcontracting programs. Sherry has been a long-time member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional
Council for Small Business, the National Contract Management Association, and the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners.
