Company / Individual Profile
Simon Designs, LLC
Web Site Design / Optimization
I have over 10 years of experience in marketing in the Consumer Division of AT&T Corporation in traditional marketing and at an interactive
marketing firm giving me a combined background of both the interactive and traditional marketing worlds. Specific to my proposed services,
I worked the last few years at AT&T Fixed Wireless Corporation managing their national web site and at an interactive marketing firm
performing Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and creating online newsletters (managing a team of copywriters)
and landing pages for major corporations. Some of the clients included AOL, Prudential, CIT and ADP. The services that I propose are for
web site design, search engine marketing and search engine optimization.
However, I can also speak about online web site promotion in general,
such as viral marketing techniques. Because AT&T Fixed Wireless was an IPO, I feel that my first-hand experience of the requirements
that a start-up company demands, gives me more insight into the many challenges that face the entrepreneur.

Private Consultation
Strategy Sessions
If the person currently has a web site, then I would pull up the web site on the laptop and critique the pluses and minuses of the site.
Usually there are some typical mistakes that people make when they design and build their own site, or when they design their own site and
then hand it over to a web developer. I will give the person some "cleaning" tips for their site that will improve the look and
feel and/or the usability of their site. I will also check to see how their site looks and explain how that can turn off potential
customers. If necessary, I would also give some advise on improving content, including copy. I would also want them to understand the impact
of possible increased traffic on their site from improvements they make and give some tips on understanding the capacity of their web host
and to plan for any additional costs. If the person does not currently have a web site, then I would gather information from them on the
background of their company and clarify their online goals. For example, are they a local, regional, national or international business?
What products or services do they offer? Will they need an e-commerce site or an informational site? Then I can understand the scope of the
needs and requirements for a web site based on their type of business and how scalable the site needs to be in order to make some recommendations.
I would also discuss with them who will maintain the site once the site is built. Even if the business owner has the expertise to maintain
the site on their own, they often don't have the time. Sometimes it's a good idea to build the site with a "site builder" so that
that the business owner can independently manage the site.
